THE PRESENCE PRACTICE

You have something  you want to create.

Actually... you probably have 17 things you want to create lol you're not short on ideas, you're not short on passion, and you're definitely not short on thinking about them.

JOIN THE PRESENCE PRACTICE

Oh my gosh, this is it!

You get the idea. You get the HIT. And immediately your brain shuts off.

"What do I do with it?"
"Should I start instagram?"
"Do I need a website?"
"Maybe I should make a course"

"Wait.. maybe I should start a podcast."
"I need to research this and completely redo my branding."

And suddenly the idea that felt so alive five minutes ago feels urgent, overwhelming, and really freaking complicated.

So you plan. You overthink. You start and stop. You change directions.

Or you get so overwhelmed by everything you could do that you don't really do anything at all.

What if the answer is actually to slow down?

I know.. it feels completely backwards. You finally have the energy around something and I'm telling you to slow down?!

Yep! Because I finally learned something about myself... When I slow down, I speed up.

The goal isn't to kill the excitement. It's to stop immediately spending it.

Breathe.  Come back into your body.
Let the urgency settle.

Get quiet enough to hear yourself.

"What do I actually want to do with this?"
"What's mine?"
"What's fear?"
"What's excitement?"
"What's just noise?"

And then...

move.

Not seventeen moves. The next one.

You don't need more ideas. You need help turning all that freaking energy into movement!

JOIN THE PRESENCE PRACTICE

So this is what we're going to practice.

Protecting your presence.

First, we build the ability to come back to your body.

Because it's really hard to hear yourself when you're exhausted, overstimulated and running on freaking fumes.

You'll learn practices for resourcing yourself, working with your emotions, regulating, and returning to the present moment.

Slow down + Listen

Then we practice not immediately reacting to every thought, idea, fear or hit of excitement.

Through meditation, prayer and presence practices, you'll learn how to create space between:

“I feel something”

and

“I HAVE TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT RIGHT NOW.”

That's where discernment starts.

That's where you learn to recognize intuition, fear, old beliefs, expectations and what actually feels like you.

Build Capacity

Then we put in reps.

Meditation is a rep.
Staying with an emotion is a rep.
Doing something physically difficult is a rep.

Being seen is a rep.
Selling is a rep.

Finishing something when a shinier idea appears is a rep.

You're teaching yourself:

I can be uncomfortable and stay.

Move

And then, girlfriend...

you do the thing.

Because you cannot think your way into all of your clarity.

Some clarity only comes through movement.

So you act.
You try something.
You create.

And then you come back inward and ask:

What happened?
How did that feel?
What did I learn?
What's my next move?

And then you move again.

What We're Practicing:

1. Slow down & Listen

→

3. Inquire & Adjust

2. Choose & Act

→

4. Act Again

Not: Think → Overthink → Plan → Question Everything → Get Overwhelmed → Start Over.

You don't need to know the entire path before you start.

Movement gives you information.

Information gives you clarity.

Clarity helps you choose.

And presence keeps you connected to yourself through all of it.

JOIN THE PRESENCE PRACTICE

The Presence Practice isn't about creating a perfectly calm life.

I'm not trying to teach you how to arrange your life so beautifully that you're never overstimulated again.

Because... good luck LOL

You're creating things. You're putting yourself out there.

You're probably raising humans and managing a full life at the same time.

Things are going to get freaking uncomfortable.

The practice is learning how to stay connected to yourself when they do.

Because creating something asks you to stay when you don't know if it's going to work.

Stay when you're bored.Stay when someone doesn't get it.

Stay when nobody buys. Stay when people do buy and suddenly this thing is real.

Stay when a new idea feels way more exciting than finishing the old one.

Stay when you'd rather go reorganize your pantry than make the freaking offer.

That's capacity.

And capacity is built in reps.

"You can listen to every podcast about presence, read every book, understand your patterns perfectly... and still lose your freaking mind when you're launching something and your kid needs a snack and someone leaves a weird comment and your website breaks."

-Megan Teerlink | Your Course Host + Founder of Getting Mindful with Megan

It's one thing to understand this, it's another thing to practice it.

You can listen to every podcast about presence, read every book, understand your patterns perfectly...

and still lose your freaking mind when you're launching something and your kid needs a snack and someone leaves a weird comment and your website breaks.

Knowing isn't the same as embodying.

That's why The Presence Practice isn't just a course.

The course is where you learn.

Inside you'll find the modules, guided meditations, emotional regulation practices, exercises and tools that teach you the work.

The community is where you practice it.

You'll also be added to The Presence Practice private Kajabi community for free.

This is where we keep putting in the reps together.

You'll have ongoing practices, conversations and a monthly live community call to help you bring the work out of your head and into your actual life.

Because presence isn't something you master.

It's something you return to.

You don't need to become less.

Less ambitious. Less creative.
Less excited. Less interested in everything.

Less you.

And you don't need to create a perfectly calm life before you can finally make something meaningful.

You need to learn how to work with all that energy.

To slow down enough to hear yourself.
To stay when it gets uncomfortable.
To move before you have every answer.

To come back when you lose yourself.

And then...to move again.

Your ideas don't need more planning.

Your ideas need you to become someone who can stay with them long enough to bring them to life

Imagine it's six month from now...

You still have the idea.

You've thought about it a lot.

Maybe you've changed the name three times, bought another domain, made a new plan, listened to 47 podcasts, and gotten really clear on what you're going to do...

But the thing?

It's still mostly living in your head.

You're still waiting to feel ready.

Still wondering which direction is the right one.

Still getting these huge hits of creative energy—and then watching them disappear into overthinking, overwhelm, and everything else that needs your attention.

Nothing is necessarily wrong with your life.

But you know you're not creating what you're capable of creating.

And another six months went by.

Okay. Now imagine six months from now if something does change.

You have an idea and instead of immediately spinning out, you know what to do with the energy.

You slow down. You listen. You choose.

And then you freaking move.

You make the thing.
You post it.
You sell it.
You let it be imperfect.

You learn from what happens instead of making everything mean something about you.

You have another idea, and you don't have to abandon everything you're doing to chase it.

Something gets uncomfortable, and you don't immediately take that as a sign to stop.

You're still multi-passionate.
Still wildly creative.
Still living a full, sometimes chaotic life.

But now your ideas are actually becoming things.

Things people can see.

Things people can experience.

Things people can buy.

Things that didn't exist six months ago because you hadn't created them yet.

Imagine how that would feel.

Not because you finally figured out how to perfectly manage your life.

But because you learned how to stay present long enough to bring what's inside of you into the world.
